The 12th International Congress on the Chemistry of Cement was held at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal from July 8th to 13th 2007 marking the conference's return to North America for the first time in fifty years. 665 delegates attended, 299 papers and 82 posters were presented on a choice of eight topics over the five day period with over 31 exhibitors showcasing their latest technologies in the cement industry.

To quote Dr. Jim Beaudoin, the conference chair: "It was evident that the program was appreciated by industrial and academic researchers alike, who were afforded the opportunity to strengthen their relationships. This is very positive as issues such as sustainability and the environment are of significant interest to both parties, and will benefit from more collaborative partnerships."

The 13th ICCC will reconvene in Madrid in 2011.
